Reporting to the Regional Manager the Store Manager would be required to have a thorough understanding of the industry and practical business fundamentals. This is a high profile, public relations position and contact with the public is a critical component requiring a focus on discovering, meeting and exceeding the needs of the customer.
The Store Manager guides other leaders to inspire top performance from their teams by providing leadership and direction to create a high-performing work environment that maximizes sales, controls costs through effective resource planning and inventory control and maintains a high level of customer centric focus.
The Store Manager seeks solutions and results that improve processes and surpass standards to drive the business in the BC Liquor Store. This position fosters growth amongst staff by providing coaching and encouragement with clear communications and builds success for the business by encouraging team members to consistently provide exceptional customer service and drive results.
This position would guide other leaders to inspire top performance by providing leadership and direction to create a high-performing work environment that maximizes sales, controls costs through effective resource planning and inventory control and maintains a high level of customer centric focus.
This position may require lifting liquor cases up to 50 lbs. to varying heights, standing at a cash register for extended periods of time and performing warehouse duties, including frequent bending and standing. Incumbents may also operate a variety of mechanical and hand-operated equipment. Work is performed in a multi-shift retail operation.
Successful completion of Serving It Right™ certification will be required prior to confirmation of any appointments of this position.

Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year of recent* experience with 9 months supervisory in a customer-facing, service-oriented environment with annual sales in excess of $1 million.
- Experience must include direct accountability for driving and achieving sales.
*Recent experience is defined as occurring within the past 5 years.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Supervisory experience gained in a confirmed position instead of relief or acting capacity.
- Experience with Key Performance Indicator’s (KPIs) and Visual Presentation Standards.
- Successful completion of a leadership or supervisory course.
