Summary of Job Duties: The Administrative Analyst for Graduate Admissions and Int’l Admissions is responsible for the processing of domestic graduate applications and supporting documents, including (but not limited to) transcripts, forms, and test scores. This position determines admission and readmission eligibility for applicants through a detailed evaluation of submitted credentials and analysis of the completed file and adheres to agreed-upon processing protocols for each of the programs. This position maintains active electronic applicant files through the document image storage and workflow system; enters and/or updates applicant data into the student information system. The Administrative Analyst initiates correspondence regarding status, counsels, and assists prospective and enrolled students, faculty, and staff in advising what is needed to complete the application and admission process and in verifying student status; and assists with data management and cleanup, file scanning, and other duties as assigned by the Associate Director. This position is expected to adhere to the University of Arkansas and GSIE policies and procedures regarding eligibility for admission and readmission and to keep abreast of changes to such policies and procedures while maintaining excellent customer service and accuracy. Attention to detail is a must for this position, as is the ability to handle large volumes of work in a timely manner during peak processing times.
This is a Temporary Position that has only a two-year commitment from date of hire.

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, general business, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Demonstrated cultural sensitivity
Fluency in any foreign language
Previous work and/or interaction with persons outside the U.S.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must have excellent people and communication skills to provide professional, timely, and effective support to students, faculty, and staff
Must be skilled in organizing tasks and balancing competing objectives
Ability to work with multiple office management tools and programs, including Microsoft Office
Ability to understand and operate various computer programs and systems
Must have demonstrated ability of excellent written and verbal communication
